Welcome to Grand Rapids!
Grand Rapids has always been a music town. Did you know that Al Green is from here? And so are Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Brian VanderArk (The Verve Pipe), Leigh Kakaty(Pop Evil) and a host of other talents, not to mention Gillian Anderson of the X Files and the 38th President of the United States, Gerald R Ford.
As of the past few years, we're offically known as "Beer City USA" with many original breweries and tasting rooms. We are also referred to as the River City, a past furniture industry mecca straddling the banks of the majestic Grand River.
